As part of the second part of my residency in June 2017 at PROGR- Zentrum fur Kulturproduktion Berne- Switzerland
I collected wild plants that grow along the Aare and recorded each species gleaned in the form of a ceramic “herbarium”.
The clay is marked by the imprint of plants echoing the process of fossilization. A living organism becomes an archive of the past.
Weeds are spontaneous, they grow according to other cultivation criteria without having been intentionally installed there. These current fossils draw parallels between past and present, culture and nature.
